Glass-like plastic jar for beauty products

Global cosmetic container manufacturer, Epopack, has introduced the new MJ6-100, a PET heavy wall jar with a glass-like finish for beauty brands. These jars boast a mono-material PET construction, ensuring easy recycling and simplifying the separation process. The heavy wall style not only provides sturdiness and ecological benefits but also enhances the brand’s image and customer experience.

The series offers five sizes ranging from 10 ml to 100 ml, each comprising three PET components: jar cap, lid and base. Epopack also allows brands to customise these jars to reflect their unique style.

This new addition fortifies Epopack’s dedication to innovation, sustainability, and streamlining recycling processes, further solidifying its position in eco-conscious packaging solutions within the beauty industry.

Bio-based cosmetics to reach US$7.75 billion by 2030

The global market for bio-based cosmetics and personal care ingredients is witnessing significant growth, projected to reach US$ 7.75 billion by 2030 with a robust CAGR of 5.72 per cent. This surge can be primarily attributed to the increasing adoption of bio-based technologies in the beauty and personal care sectors.

Consumers’ growing preference for advanced formulas and active ingredients has prompted cosmetics companies to invest heavily in bio-based ingredients over the past decade. Bioactive ingredients derived from natural sources, such as conditioning polymers, surfactants and emulsifiers, are gaining traction due to their benefits and rising consumer awareness regarding the harmful effects of synthetic chemicals.

While the market faces challenges such as the high cost of bio-based cosmetic products, opportunities remain abundant, with surging demand coupled with investments in research and development expected to drive market expansion. PBHJ.
