From the South Asia head…

Welcome to the launch edition of our very first magazine for the India beauty, cosmetics, and hair community.

Having been focused since 2012 on building Professional Beauty Expo as the leading trade show for the beauty and wellness community in South Asia and connecting over 2 lakh visitors with hundreds of brands to date, the disruption of 2020 saw us move online hosting hundreds of live interactions and education for the community across India.

The next step in our evolution at the heart of the community sees us launch not just one iconic magazine but two at the same time: Professional Beauty and Hairdressers Journal. An exciting new initiative bringing the very best content across beauty, hair and spa from India and around the world.

Professional Beauty magazine was launched in 1989 and Hairdressers Journal in 1882 serving the beauty, cosmetics and hairdressing community across the UK, GCC and South Africa, and now is the right time to bring this unique offering to the South Asian community with a focus on bridging the gap between global and local content giving salon owners, therapists and stylists access to the latest product launches, innovations, trends and techniques.

The launch edition sets the tone we wish to continue with as we evolve our offering for the South Asia community: Showcasing product innovations, educational techniques and trends and business tips to help you, your team and your business grow alongside a portfolio of incredible beauty and hair images from our international collection. Each issue will connect you to industry leaders and gamechangers from across India and the world as we feature local and global news, in depth analysis on the latest salon treatments and product launches, together with exclusive hair shoots and educational step-by-steps.

In line with our focus of constantly innovating our offering to the community, the new magazine is no different to everything the Professional Beauty India team has done to date: Combining the best of a physical magazine format with the best of the digital world. Designed to be interactive and engaging with website URL’s, videos and social media content embedded into each page, I hope as you explore this new magazine you get as much satisfaction reading and connecting with the content as we did building the content for you.
