Nail care tips for artists

Events such as marriages are extremely special and hence it becomes a huge responsibility to ensure that the bride is happy and relaxed. Here are a few tips for bridal nails from Dina Umarova, Bluesky, Managing Director and Exclusive Distributor (India) and Founder, Bluesky Nail Academy (Mumbai).

• Ensure that the colour of the manicure complements the bridal outfits for each function; especially the main event.

• Do not compromise on the quality and use products of the same brand; from base coat to colour and top coat.

• Ensure that the nail prep is on point and each layer of gel is cured properly.

• If you are using stones and accessories, choosing the correct application will ensure that the nails look gorgeous with accessories for more than two weeks, as well as keep it non sticky.

• Do not use acetone for soaking off the extensions or removing gel polish because it is not good for the natural nail bed. For gel polish removal from natural nails, use removal wraps that are pre-soaked, acetone free wraps. If you need to remove extensions, use an acetone free soak-off removal solution.
