The beauty of festivities

It is that time of the year when we all are embraced by festivities. And, it is this time of the year when the beauty industry banks on discounts, offering attractive styles and creating trends, focusing on salon décor and more, to increase footfall and enhance every clients’ experience.

After the prolonged lockdown, the industry has certainly been focussing on faster recovery. In line with the same, this edition focuses on what salon chains and brands are doing to grow business this festive season. Our Cover Feature ‘Gearing up for growth’ (Pg 24) shares pointers that will help salon owners maximise on this crucial time of the year.

In our interaction with several salon owners, it has been interesting to know that not everyone is a believer of discounts during the festive time, as one side of thought is also that discounts will only appeal to those clients looking for a deal, and not for an artist! That could be seen as one interesting perspective. But also, for those who have hiked up their marketing game and offers and discounts, it has been encouraging to see how each salon does have a tried and tested formula. And, in several instances, well-thought out packages are taking over flat out discounts.

This edition also focusses on how e-commerce has been creating a roar for beauty brands and how can B2B brands look at leveraging this opportunity during festive times. This and there is much for information – beauty tips and hair styles – that you can treat yourself with this edition.

In complete support of being with the industry through all times – good or tough – we at Professional Beauty India too have announced our in-person show as we are all set to reunite and celebrate the #revivalmode in 2021. From December 20-21, we are all set to meet the industry in New Delhi at Le Meridien, followed by the Professional Beauty Shows in Bengaluru and Mumbai in 2022.
