For a flawless skin

Festivals are about celebration and spreading joy, and one must do that without any inhibitions. All it takes is following a healthy regime and going in for the right consultation; and you can gift your clients with a flawless skin! Arpita Das puts light on some key beauty regimes for this festive season.

From glamorous ethnic outfits to a variety of delicious delicacies, with the festive season right around the corner, one is completely engrossed in making the most of it and spreading joy with their near and dear ones. However, during this auspicious time, while everyone is soaked in the festive spirit, one aspect that often takes a back seat is the health of skin.

The role of salons and skin specialists becomes extremely important here as most people turn to them for a flawless skin. And hence, here are a few ways flawless skin can be achieved during the festive season:

Understanding the shift in the psychology of customers and designing packages to cater to it In an era after the pandemic, customers are no longer comfortable in spreading hours and hours at their favourite salons. They are often looking for a quick fix with minimal contact with other people. Salons can give their customers flawless skin this season by designing quick beauty treatments and facials that do the trick but do not take hours at end. These can be express rejuvenating or glow facials and clean-ups.

Online consultation

Festivals are a busy time and not everyone can drop by to a salon or specialist for treatments. However, salons can cater to their customers online by making use of the digital space and sharing their tips and tricks and dos and don’ts online via social media platforms and emails.

Encourage professional beauty and high quality make- up products

People find themselves wearing make-up almost every day during the festive season due to the numerous functions with family and friends. Make-up is in direct contact with the skin, thus it is essential to use products that are made with only high quality ingredients. One must steer clear from dupes, when it comes to their skin.

Similarly, products such as sunscreen, moisturiser, toner, and cleanser must also be compatible with the skin type as otherwise they can do more harm than good. Salons can ensure their customers know the importance of professional beauty products and know when and where to invest.

Encourage hydration

Salon and skin specialists must encourage ways to increase hydration, be it internal or external. Water intake is often less during this season. Due to the heavy layers of make-up, the skin can dry up and start cracking up. The slow season shift towards a chillier weather does not help in this either. It is thus important to keep the skin hydrated with nourishing moisturisers and serums. The consumer can be encouraged to invest in a night time routine like a hydrating sleeping mask or an overnight cream or serum to hydrate the skin during the night time.

Similarly, the constant partying can involve consumption of appetisers and spirits, which can lead to dehydration in the body. One must remember to drink water in regular intervals to keep both their skin as well as their stomach healthy.

Proper cleansing

One must ensure that the skin is thoroughly cleansed pre bed time every day. Make-up must be removed using a gentle cleanser followed by a night time routine. However, specialists must inform their customers to avoid extremely hot showers as this can strip the skin off its natural oils.

Some products that work for most skin types are: peptide masks, collagen masks, and hyaluronic acid.

Invest in products or treatments according to their specific concerns

With constant access to the internet, most consumers have unfortunately started self-diagnosing. This is not a great thing as a diagnosis can only be valid once the professional has seen and felt the skin and understood its concerns. It is essential for customers to share their particular concerns and get regimes designed to get a flawless look for their particular skin. Some products that work for most skin types are: peptide masks, collagen masks, and hyaluronic acid.

To conclude…

Your client does not need to give up on that extra sweet dish during the festive time; but definitely needs to follow it up with two extra glasses of water!
