What’s going to be most exciting about the YEAR 2020?

Natasha Naegamvala Director, Nalini of Nalini n Yasmin Salon

“For starters, it is going to be the return to normalcy, or what we are hoping will be normal enough. The last year and a half has been trying to say the least – for everybody! We are starting to see a slow return and are trying to catch up with all the lost time and opportunity. For me and my business, I personally have chosen to concentrate on my small salon, and train my team with a lot more attention. As I believe they are an extension of me. In this way, I can concentrate on other things industry-related and open myself up to other opportunities which I do believe is the direction most people should head in. To not exclusively be one dimensional is not enough, being multi-faceted is something we all should think about.”

Vikram Bhatt Founder, Enrich Salon

“With the festival season, we are seeing a steady uptick and in the last two months, we are se eing important data points crossing the pre-pandemic 2019 numbers. his seems to be in line with the industry too itnessing a comeback as seen from various conomic parameters. The increasing interest in the beauty and wellness categories by both onsumers and investors is also heartening. hile there might be small and big challenges in the short term, overall we seem set for a eriod of growth. At Enrich, we are buoyant on he coming year as we work towards enlarging ur footprint, our product and service lines and caling up in our omnichannel journey!”

Dr Rekha Chaudhari Global Wellness Ambassador for India, and a social entrepreneur of nonprofit organisations

“The growth for brands in the New Year will be different. Brands that have switched to working from a traditional to a hybrid model (offline to online) and those adopting technologies will definitely grow. Even reference to the wellness centres, coming out from the massage to the well-being structure will have a huge difference. They will definitely sustain and the industry will definitely grow in India. The salons and spas need to change their approach as well. Brands like ours, who are supplying or servicing the salons and spas, can bring about the change, but these changes should be adopted by the salon and spa owners too. And once they do that, they will definitely be in the profitable business ratio.”

Shirin Merchant reative Director, Kutnmake Salon

“The most exciting wait for 2022 is the physical aunch of the Professional Beauty & Hairdressers ournal India magazine, which is going to mark he onset of a leap in readership. I believe that t’s just going to be an easy access not only or hair and beauty professionals, but also the lients who visits our salon. And thereby, a leap n the brands growth synonymously.”
