Professional Beauty returns with full might

Professional Beauty Delhi set the tone and pace for events in physical form as it welcomed salon and beauty professionals to buy, book, connect and network at one of India’s leading exhibitions.

The 30th edition of Professional Beauty India and the 7th one in Delhi was more than a sourcing and networking event for beauty professionals. It announced the advent of the ‘new normal’ and business as usual for salon professionals.With strict Covid-19 protocols in place, the exhibition welcomed exhibitors and visitors alike as all the key links in the beauty supply chain attempted to prepare for a profitable and positive 2022.

Held at Le Meridien Hotel, New Delhi, on 20th and 21st December, 2021, Professional Beauty Delhi hosted 100+exhibitors across a show area of 15,000 sq ft, and welcomed 3274 visitors. The exhibitors found it to be an excellent opportunity to gauge changes in market conditions and consumer demands as they got to interact with front end salon professionals directly while the visitors made the most of their time at the show by striking deals, placing orders and upgrading their knowledge base. Covid-19 protocols were stringently followed, with all participating parties adhering to them.

The Delhi show has set business in motion for the entire beauty fraternity in India, and we are gearing up for the Mumbai edition.

Professional Beauty Mumbai will be held on the 11th and 12th of April, 2022, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The show will host more than 180 brands and 8000 plus visitors at an exhibition space that will be spread across 56,000 sq ft. Visitors will benefit immensely not only from the networking and sourcing opportunities but also from the live demo sessions and the 30+ product launches that they will get to witness at Professional Beauty Mumbai. was amazing. The past two years were hard, and I really missed our customers – so it was greae have seen a lot of publicity that Professional ve a space to catch up with people, especially the accounts we had join us during the past two years where we perhaps have only connected via email. It was great to finally put a face to those names.”

Covid-19 has taken two years of our life. We have been a part of the professional beauty segment all through this time in the last 5 years but this is really nice getting back here and being able to meet our friends and to see what is happening in the industry. I am glad Professional beauty has started again. I believe it’s a good initiative because it has a lot of details. I was going through the magazine and the good part is it has a lot of informative stuff, it’s not just the advertisements, it’s also about what is happening around, what are the latest trends. It is a good value addition. The industry is being very careful about hygiene, so hygiene has become one of the most important things. Regarding trends, bright colours are in, people are experimenting in skin and hair. People are going quite raw -they have started to accept natural beauty, just the way they were, and yet choosing the colours, which are very close to what they originally have. The people who are experimenting completely, it’s a very good mix year because people don’t know what to expect so there is a mix of everything this year. 2022 is definitely a year of surprises. From Professional Beauty the expectation is that if everything goes well, they should be organising more shows, bringing the industry together and doing more events and networking. We should also get to know what’s happening internationally. So it’s really good to be at Professional Beauty India.

I’m so excited to be here. I’m reading a physical copy of the Professional Beauty Hairdressers Journal that talks about the brands, services, experts in the beauty space, hair, trends. Thank you and congrats PB, I’m delighted to be here. This India chapter is something we can be really proud of. Vikas and his team have done a great job. The beauty of this is the regional chapters. For example, our industry is made up of many regional players. Taking the show to those locations like Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata is where the fun lies. Our industry can’t work on the zoom conferences. We have to meet in person to understand what the products are. I have chains of salons in Mumbai and now I’m glad that the business has come to the level of 2019. I expect that by Feb-March the business gets back (on track). Online shopping has increased. Come and see Professional Beauty. Look for new brands, new products, and new categories. Right now the trend is beauty, and in the coming years, there will be a lot more excitement around beauty. You’re doing a good job at covering regional chapters. You’re taking the industry to the regional location. In the online version, you can have the touch and feel of the physical magazine.
