Timeless Creations
Here are the beauty looks witnessed on the FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week ramp curated by Backstage Heroes at Lakmé Salon and Academy.
Lakmé Salon’s Quintessential collection for bridal hair and makeup was seen on the ramp in collaboration with renowned designer Varun Bahl Couture at FDCI X Lakmé
Fashion Week. Quintessential collection derives inspiration from Indian queens and their glamorous heritage. Global fashion icon Masoom Minawala debuted on the Indian runway as the showstopper in this show.
Anupma Katyal, National Creative Director – Makeup, Lakmé Salon, added, “The looks we created for Quintessential are specifically curated for the queens of today. These looks will set the tone for the upcoming bridal seasons with bright colours, glitter eyes, reversed liner and smokey eyes, and a range of nude to bold lip stains, redefining timeless royal looks for the modern era.
Varun’s quirky and unconventional designs brought our makeup looks alive.”
Pooja Singh, National Creative Director – Hair, Lakmé Salon, added, “Quintessential is our ode to history’s trailblazing Indian queens. From classic Hollywood waves to textured, fluid hair; from embellished bun to beach waves and peeled out braids, we have created looks for every kind of bride. The hairstyles have been carefully crafted by our team of Lakmé Salon Backstage Experts, with intricacies like weaves in a bun and partially-tied, textured half ponytails. Each look marries royal elegance with modernity, and is easily adaptable from the runway to reality. Varun’s opulent yet quirky styles and vision aligned with ours seamlessly, and we can’t wait to see our salon customers experiment with these looks.”
