It’s hot, and how! India has recorded its warmest March in 121 years. No rainfall, consistently dry and hot winds and a clear sky that has been encouraging direct exposure to the sun’s rays – has been leading to this soaring temperature.

And summers do bring along its own unpleasant experiences for the hair and skin. Definitely, here’s an opportunity for salons, skin and hair experts, to rise above the heat and ensure best care for your clients.

This is precisely what we have focused on in this edition.

So, at present, do you have a comprehensive care menu and what does it entail? Our cover feature helps you take a closer look at the care treatments offered by salons and how can you ensure the right service for your clients during the hot months (pg 24). What’s coming up next will be an edition (PBxHJ June-July) dedicated to sustainability. We will delve into how eco-conscious our industry is – be it brands or salons – because #sustainabilitymatters. As a prelude, in this edition, we have reached out to a few popular salons in India and discussed practices they are adopting to reduce carbon footprint (Pg 72).
