Here’s a quick look at the take of beauty fraternity on the most beloved show getting back with a bang:

“We are at PB Mumbai. We are happy to be back after 2.5 years. It’s good to meet our industry friends. Great privilege to participate in this show. I represent KT Professional, which is into salon based treatment. I also represent Beauty Skills Academy which is also participating here. It is in the education field for make-up, nails, etc affiliated by the UK. We connected with our existing customer base and made new clients with this show. Coming together as an industry is important. New thoughts and ideas come up and we solve challenges. The problems of Gujarat are different from Maharashtra so we understand their hair challenges better and solve them better. PBHJ encapsulates everything the industry does and it also keeps you updated with everything new. It gives a good insight into the western world. We are understanding about markets and trends. PB has set up global standards and is inspiring for salons to join at large.”

“I think we were waiting for this moment. It’s packed with people. Yesterday (Day 1) was a full house and today we’re also getting there. Lots of big stalls and equipment! You can buy whatever you desire. It is all under one roof. I think the live sessions are much needed. The buyers need to know how to use it so they can buy it. How can you pick up things if you don’t know how to use them? I think PBHJ is like a bible for those who are starting in the business. You open the magazine and you get all the information. How to style, colour the hair. I think every professional needs to go through this. It’s all in your hand!”

“My stronghold is hair - cutting, styling and colouring. I’m here at this carnival because there are so many stalls right from beauty and makeup to hair. It’s a madhouse with so many people. So many sessions on hairstyle and makeup! All the aspiring ones should be a part of this. There’s so much to learn. There’s education at every stall. You can also buy a lot of products. There are a lot of discounts. Coming from the virtual world to the real world, it feels nicer to connect with all the people in the industry.”

“We bring the best brands from overseas into the Indian markets. Some of our own manufactured manicure and pedicure brands for the Indian markets. I think it’s amazing because we are having this show after two years. The buzz is crazy, there is no time to breathe. We don’t quantify business as per rupee value but we see how many new clients and salons we engage with. I see people from central India as well so it is very encouraging. PBHJ is amazing! It gives you a perspective of the latest hair care brands and innovations. We look forward to supporting the stylist fraternity. The business is back to normal. We have been through tough times and now let’s embrace it and work hard and party harder.”

“I’m here at PB Mumbai and it’s crazy… the amount of people here. Wowww!! That’s how it feels. It feels exactly that way. People want to watch live shows and you have an audience who are there watching which people took for granted. Exciting brands - you get to see what’s happening! It’s more personal. You know who are the serious players. Touch and feel of the whole thing. You get to experience up close, you get the experience, you know the choices you have in the market.

“It feels amazing! After Covid, this was much awaited for the brand that we are launching. We also love the crowd here. We are not selling at the show right now but we are showcasing our brand and we are excited to see the people. This platform gives us the edge to showcase our brand to everyone. Milk_shake is an Italian brand, it’s been here for 3 years now. We have got amazing concepts in the spa ranges and colours. PBHJ helps people understand new brands like us… gives more technical information that salons want. Brands like ours also help in the process to move towards a sustainable environment. We use recyclable plastic, and the ingredients are organic.”
