Look like the stars!

India is known as a cultural melting pot. Each state and region has its own unique and distinctive rituals or customs when it comes to celebrating festivals, religious events and more importantly weddings. And as we all know Indian weddings are always a larger than life celebration, where the bride flaunts her best mesmerizing look. We get Zarina Nissar, a veteran make-up artist from Bangalore, to break down a few of the stunning looks portrayed by Indian celebrities for the paparazzi.

A Sparkling Bridal Look

Base application:

-Apply ultra under base primer from kryolan and blend well with a brush and then blend well with the beauty blender

-Apply the base corrector/concealer foundation , the Derma camouflage in shade D 64 or D 3

-Apply with a flat brush all over her face and use a beauty blender to blend with a soft touch. -Cover ears and neck as far as required ( neck line) and use the translucent powder to set the foundation

Eye shadow application:

-Apply the eye shadow primer over this use the gold eye over the eyelid -Blend well from the inner corner to the outer corner of the eye

-Take another brush and use a black eye shadow from the eye shadow palette of Kryolan.

-Apply the black from the outer corner to the center of eye above the eye and blend well with light feathery strokes -Now take a liner brush and apply the HD crème liner kajal (ebony)

-Apply on the eyelid to form a base to the eye lashes, from inner corner to outer corner and in the water line

-Slightly extend the line on the outer line (a small wing extending this slant)

-Fix the eye lashes from inside to outside -Re-apply the eye liner again so it is visible line and not thick

-Apply the ebony eye shadow powder with a slanting brush from the centre of below eye to outer eye

-Then with another brush apply the red eye shadow below this line

-Apply the Kryolan mascara starting from the top lid

-Apply a little mascara on the natural eyelashes first and finish with feathery strokes

-With the same brush apply with light feathery strokes For the lower lid

-Use a plain brush to separate the top and bottom to look natural

Blush application:

-Apply a coral TC 3 blush with a soft slanting blusher brush

-Start from the middle of the cheek slanting stroke and going across till the top of the ear and the bottom stroke till the bottom of the ear like a triangle shape n it should look a soft colour and blend well

-Apply the highlighter caked sunkissed above the blush on and add a touch on the apple of cheek, extending to the middle of the cheek

-Contour using shade ODS4 and using a soft brush use this from the temples, forehead, sides of jaw and chin

LipStick application:

-Apply a little vaseline or lip balm on lips

-Apply a light orange lip liner and apply lip stain soul shade

• Finally, use the fixing spray to retain the look and make it last for hours

The Diva Look for a Cocktail party

Base application:

-Start with applying base primer and blend well into the skin

-Then apply Kryolan DFD -D64 (medium to fair skin) concealer and mix both and apply with a brush and blend well. It should look natural.

-Apply the fixing powder, either with a puff or powder blushP4 neutral colour.

Eye shadow application:

-Apply an eye primer on the eye area

-For dark smokey eyes use brown and black powder on the upper eye lid and blend well. The corner of the eye should not have a point but a rounded look

-Apply kajal in the waterline and eyeliner too, extending out

-Apply the brick red under the eye with a thin brush

-Fix eyelashes touching the lid .

-Hold the inner corner and outer corner for a minute to set

Blush application:

-Apply Kryolan R O6 blush starting from the apples of the cheek and go up to the temples. Please use a slant brush

Lipstick application:

-Apply a bit of vaseline on lips -Followed by a little base

-Finally apply nude soul or gospel matt

Apply body highlighter -Kryolan Sun Feast

Apply illuminator -Kryolan Golden Beige

• Finally the fixing spray. Hold away from the face. This fixes and holds the make-up well for hours

An elegant Ring Ceremony Look

Base application:

-Start with a under base face primer from kryolan

-Apply the base which acts as a corrector or concealer

-Foundation from the Derma camouflage crème

-Apply D3 for fair skin and blend well first with a brush and then the beauty blender

-Apply all skin’s translucent dusting powder to set the foundation

Eye shadow application:

-Apply eyeshadow primer base.

-Use bronze pigmented eyeshadow with a brush on the eyelid and blend well..

-Then apply black and brown shadow for the corner of eye and eye socket Please Note: When the bride looks up, the socket eye shadow should be visible.

Eyeliner application:

-Apply the HD Kajal on the waterline

-Then apply a liner starting from the inner corner and draw a winged eyeliner.

Eyebrows application:

-Apply a medium brown on top with a slant eyebrow brush

-Follow the natural line and come to the lower side of brow -Use the brush and this line to complete the eye brow

Please Note: The brown or black should not be dark but subtle.

Lipstick Application:

-Apply Vaseline followed by base and Gospel shade lipstick.

The Subtle Sangeet Look

Base application:

-Start by applying with a face primer on the face

-Apply the base which has a combination of corrector or concealer and foundation by Kryolan

-Blend well with the beauty blender

-Apply the loose translucent powder with the powder brush to set the foundation

Eye shadow application:

-Apply the eye primer on the entire eye lid area

-Apply a combination of shades from plum and brown on the lid, taking care to blend well

-Apply the plum colour near eye socket and blend well

-Apply a pinkish gold highlighter in the inner corner of the eye as a highlighter

-Followed by a thin eyeliner starting from inner corner to outer corner

-Apply water line kajal in Ebony from inner corner to outer corner

-Fix the eyelashes with a thin line of eyeliner touching the lashes

-Then use a brownish plum Under the below the lower lashes to give a smudged look

Blush application:

-First light pink and plum on the outer jaw from the blush palette

-Contour lightly with the brush using ODS4 around the temples, sides of the nose and the jaw and chin area

Lipstick application:

-Apply vaseline or lip balm

-Apply a lip base to cover the lip or use a plum shade lip liner from the palette -

Apply a lip stain of maroon on the lip area

-Apply pink and a tint of gold highlighter

• Finally, use the fixing spray to retain the look and make it last for hours

A Natural Look for the Haldi Ceremony

Base application:

-Apply base primer and spread all over the face

-Apply the Kryolan camouflage crème as a corrector or concealer and

-Apply foundation for fair skin D3 and D4 mix

-Apply a light coat and blend with a blending brush

-Then apply a beauty blender

-Apply translucent loose powder with a powder brush

Eye shadow application:

-Apply the kryolan eye primer base

-Apply the gold shimmers

-Apply the brown on corners of eyes and blend and orange in the hollows of eyes

-Apply kajal only on the water line

-Apply the false eye lashes with an adhesive gum and fix the eye lashes on top of the natural eye shadow

-Then apply mascara on both the top and bottom eyelashes

-Apply the cake powder with a slanting blush on top and bottom of eyebrows with a combination brush

Blush application:

-Apply on cheeks shade TI

-Highlighter

- sunkissed shade on tip of nose 

-Apply contouring on sides of temples, nose, under jaws and hollows of cheeks with a slanting blush, in upward strokes

Apply lip liner for the outline, followed by vaseline and lip stain soul

• Finally, use the fixing spray to retain the look and make it last for hours PBHJ
