Dear reader, It thrills me to see the salon industry brimming with optimism and opportunities. During Salon Management Congress 2022, we got to know of all the innovations and interesting collaborations that salons are doing to stay relevant, to stay ahead of the curve and to stay profitable. Salons finding their niche, such as ‘green’ or ‘vegan,’ is another trend that’s catching up. What the industry needs is sustainable growth, both in terms of revenue and ecoconsciousness. If we are strong enough to call ourselves an industry and we are trying to make an impact on the country’s economy by employing youth and encouraging entrepreneurship, we should also take upon ourselves the responsibility of helping India reach its net zero target.

In this issue, we are exploring the economics of the festive season. There are abundant business opportunities for those wanting to grow, and the festive times have given a much-needed boost to salons. Exponential growth is not the only aim of a beauty business, it is holistic growth. A salon’s growth should not just be seen in the account statements but also in the number of doors it opens, the achievements of its hairdressers and therapists, in its social media posts and in its customer reviews. I am sure you will find our expert advice and industry analysis helpful in making business plans for the coming year.

We, at Professional Beauty, are eagerly waiting for you to join us at the Professional Beauty Ludhiana Exhibition. See you there!
