Talent shines at IndiaSkills 2024

IndiaSkills 2024 was a celebration of skills, innovation and passion. Held at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, Delhi, from 15th to 19th May, the event kicked off with a spectacular opening ceremony that highlighted the rich cultural heritage of India, consequently setting the stage for an unforgettable journey.

Over 900 candidates, including 170+ women, participated, showcasing their skills from 30+ states. IndiaSkills 2024 achieved an extraordinary milestone with 74 gold, 67 silver and 73 bronze medalists, demonstrating exceptional talent. Chief experts in respective skills will now train the gold medal winners and they will represent India at WorldSkills 2024 in Lyon, France, from September 10th to 15th, 2024.

Bodycraft Clinic launches YouthX in India

Bodycraft Clinic recently launched YouthX in India, a treatment for healthy hair and skin. Luca Piattelli Salon chain comes to India

The luxury Italian Salon chain, Luca Piattelli, owned by hairstylist Luca Piattelli recently opened its first flagship store in India. Located at Sardarjung, New Delhi, the salon offers a range of services for men and women, covering nails, hair, skin and spas. The salon features an in-house café, barber shop, hairdressing stations, and manicure and pedicure chairs. Furthermore, it boasts a jacuzzi, a spa and a scented sauna.

Piattelli said, “We are in India because here, the people appreciate the Italian luxe of styling. Clubbing our years of expertise with Indian hospitality, we wish to create unique styles for the specific needs of the men and women here.”

Bharat Shringaar make-up competition gets underway

LOOKS School of Hair and Beauty, Pune, has launched a make-up competition called Bharat Shringaar. It is sponsored by Europe Girl Cosmetics and LOOKS Salon. Cipla set to acquire Ivia Beaute’s cosmetics and personal care

Cipla Health Limited (CHL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Cipla, is set to acquire Ivia Beaute. This agreement includes the acquisition of Ivia’s renowned brands, such as Astaberry, Ikin and Bhimsaini, on a global scale. The total cost stands at Rs 130 crore. By integrating these acquired brands into its portfolio, CHL aims to enhance its offerings in the skincare segment.

Shivam Puri, Chief Executive Officer and Whole Time Director, CHL, said, “This move not only solidifies our presence in the expansive and dynamic beauty and personal care sector but also builds on our wellestablished footprint in tier 2-6 cities. Our target consumer base is discerning and seeks variety, especially when it comes to new brands in personal care.”

Kylie Cosmetics launches in India

Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner has debuted in India. The brand has partnered with House of Beauty to mark its arrival in India and will exclusively be available in 25 Sephora stores nationwide. The launch collection in India features the matte and velvet lip kits, precision pout lip liner, power plush longwear foundation, Kylash volume mascara, power plush longwear concealer and tinted butter balm.

Kylie Jenner, Founder, Kylie Cosmetics, expressed her excitement about the Indian launch: “I am thrilled to introduce Kylie Cosmetics in India. I established Kylie Cosmetics to offer my fans access to the makeup products that I personally adore, and I cannot wait to share my collection with all my supporters in India.”
