BHARAT SHRINGAAR 2024

The grand finale of Bharat Shringaar 2024 sets a new benchmark in make-up competitions.

Looks School of Hair and Beauty Pune recently hosted the grand finale of ‘Bharat Shringaar: The Ultimate Makeup Contest,’ a national stage for makeup artists to showcase their talent. The event was masterminded by Manisha Kumari, Director and Founder, LOOKS School of Hair and Beauty.

The contest, which attracted over 480 entries, culminated in a grand finale featuring 20 exceptional finalists. These contestants demonstrated their skills by creating stunning Rajwadi brides, the event’s chosen theme. The finale also included a mesmerising Ganesh Vandana, a live portrait painting of Lord Ganesha, and a live performance by the band The State Bus.

The registration for Bharat Shringaar began on 1st May 2024, with the grand finale taking place on 12th July 2024. The grand finale was hosted at LOOKS School of Hair and Beauty in Pune, India.

The grand finale saw Amit Sen from Rajasthan emerge as the winner, earning a trip to Paris sponsored by LOOKS Salon. The runner-up, Bhaskar Jyoti from Guwahati, won a trip to Sri Lanka, sponsored by Mr. Barber. The contestants faced a unique challenge as they did not know their models, attire, or makeup products in advance.

MEET THE JURY

The jury comprised both Indian and international experts, including Unnati Singh, International Beauty Educator and Director, IHB Education India; Bridgette Jones, Founder, Bridgette Jones Fashion Salon, Kolkata; Pammy Kaul, Creative Director, Headmasters, Chandigarh; Seema Jerajani, World Champion and Founder, SVJ Academy, Mumbai), Naina Karunaratne, Founder, Sri Lanka Association of Hairdressers and Beauticians, and Joakim Roos, Global Educator and Jury Member, OMC, Sweden.

The event was supported by Looks Salon and Europe Girl as title sponsors; Mr. Barber as tool partner; Oulac Cosmetics, Blush N Brown, and Brillare as gift sponsors; Bluesky as nail sponsor; milk_shake as styling sponsor; and Professional Beauty India as media partner.

Bharat Shringaar 2024 is a new milestone in makeup competitions that celebrates artistry, culture and sustainability. The next season of Bharat Shringaar is scheduled for 12th July 2025.

SHOWSTOPPER JASMINE BHASIN AT THE 3TENX LAUNCH

The event featured special guests, including Jasmine Bhasin, a well-known Indian TV actress, who shared her enthusiasm for the new product range. International hair artist Marios Neofytou, making his first visit to India, conducted an exclusive session for top hairstylists, demonstrating how to create stunning hair looks with 3TENX products.

DAPPER DUDE WELCOMES NEIL NITIN MUKESH AS BRAND AMBASSADOR

SCHWARZKOPF PROFESSIONAL UNVEILS THE ‘MASTER OF HAIRCRAFT’ WINNERS

Schwarzkopf Professional unveiled the winners of the ‘Master of Haircraft’, Edition 3. The brand has designed this innovative virtual platform to celebrate and honour the talent and creativity of the Indian hairdressing community. The ‘Master of Haircraft’ is a display of the brand’s commitment to building fruitful partnerships and collaborations with hair artists by providing emerging talents with the space and platform to showcase their skills and leave a mark in the world of hairdressing.

The competition started when well-known hairstylist Amit Thakur announced the event on social media and invited the participants to compete and showcase their talent and imagination. The response was overwhelming as 38 entries poured in from hairstylists from prestigious salons such as Noitre, The Seventeenth Hair & Beauty, Philo Hairdressing, LOOKS and Straight Salon.

The event kicked off with a digital challenge wherein all participants received a mystery box featuring IGORA Zero Amm Colour, using which they created some stunning hairstyles that were a thrilling union of creativity and reality.

The grand finale featured a distinguished panel of key opinion leaders from the haircare industry, such as Lesley Jennison, the Global Colour Ambassador for Schwarzkopf Professional. Modh Yusuf from Punjab Bagh took home the first position. Philoman Lepcha from Philo Hairdressing secured the first runner-up position. Arpti Aaryan from Noitre secured the second runner-up spot.
