Ambuja Cements, through its Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (SEDI) in Nalagarh, is empowering the youth of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab by offering vocational training and sustainable livelihood opportunities. SEDI’s programmes focus on equipping individuals with the skills and confidence they need to overcome challenges, foster personal growth and secure financial independence.

One shining example of this initiative is Amarjeet Singh, from Punjab, who faced a severe setback when an accident left him with a permanent leg injury. Determined to support his family, he sought out SEDI’s Assistant Beauty Therapist course.

After completing the programme, Amarjeet opened his own salon, where he now earns Rs 45,000 a month and employs three others.

He attributes his success to SEDI’s training, which strengthened his professional skills and bolstered his self-confidence.

Ambuja Cements’ SEDI continues to empower individuals like Amarjeet by offering vocational training that enhances employability and promotes entrepreneurship.
