Each look in this collection features crystalline structures. The models’ features are illuminated by vibrant hues that mimic the natural refraction of light within gemstones. The interplay of light and texture reveals the ethereal essence of crystals, highlighting their dazzling effects and the delicate balance between nature and human artistry. Each crystal in this collection was handmade using resin, ensuring a unique touch to every piece. Safy Burton shares with Kanishka Ramchandani elaborates on the thought process behind the collection.
“My absolute favourite has to be this look with the bold shape, where the cr ystals crack out from the top, giving the ef fect of nine cr ystals placed all over the head. I just love the structure it gives – it’s dramatic and powerful, highlighting the sharpness of the cr ystals against the sof tness of the model ’s face. Plus, the way the hair moves sof tly past her face adds this beautiful contrast, giving a delicate, ethereal vibe that balances the boldness of the cr ystals. It creates an edgy yet elegant look that really captures the essence of the whole collection.”
“The mood board for this collection was inspired by the way cr ystals interact with light, creating these beautiful, almost magical colours and glows. When I looked at dif ferent types of cr ystals, I noticed that regardless of their colour or type, they of ten had sharp, defined edges yet gave off a sof t, enchanting glow. I wanted to capture that contrast – the hard, edgy structure of cr ystals combined with the natural sof tness of the human form. It’s all about blending nature with a touch of fantasy, making each look feel a bit ethereal and otherworldly.”
“The whole vibe of mi xing bold, structured shapes with sof ter, more natural elements will catch on globally. It’s that blend of sculptural style with a touch of sof tness that people seem to love right now. And cr ystals or metallic accents in hair? That’s going to be! It’s all about adding a bit of art to everyday looks and making it feel lu xe but wearable.”
“I went with cr ystals because they’re just so mesmerising, aren’t they?
The way they refract light adds depth and this incredible sparkle. It’s like each cr ystal piece brings its own bit of magic to the look. I wanted the models to feel almost illuminated from within, giving off this radiant energy that just draws you in.”
