Slayed!

Batul Pardawala, Creative Director, BristleDust by KutnMake Salon, creates stunning nail art to herald the stellar nail trends of 2025.

Russian Almond Nails

Apart from experimenting with what goes on the nail, clients have started experimenting with the nail itself! People tend to pick very different shapes like the flared square, the lipstick shape et al – it’s all the new rage. My prediction is that the trends will soon be taken over not just by bold artwork but also bold shapes.

Year 2025 is the year of the nail art. Buff up your technical training and get ready to create magic.

Nail art had a good stint in 2024 with artists and enthusiasts alike ready to experiment and extend creative horizons. This makes us all the more eager for nail art trends of 2025. If ‘young’ was a flavour, then Batul Merchant, Creative Director, BristleDust by KutnMake Salon, has infused her latest creations with it, whetting your appetite for wholesome nail trends to kickstart the New Year.

Inverted French Nails

Like all fashion trends, the classic French manicure has evolved over the years. What started as a bare nail with a straight thick line on top, it graduated to a C-curved thin French tip. Today, it’s gone all topsy-turvy. To achieve the inverted French art, cover the nail with polish, leaving only the base bare. This manicure can also be kept on longer since the growth is less visible. What’s more, it’s sustainable and minimal.

3D / Textured Nails

Gone are the days when clients came asking for plain French manis or stick-on charms. Nails are the new canvas for expression and what’s really taken off in self-expression is customised 3D art. From sea shells to fully hand-moulded cartoon characters, anything is possible. With the introduction of gel products, it has become easier for skilled nail artists to bring 3D ideas to life.

Korean Nails

If the buzzword in beauty is glass skin, then in the world of nails it’s definitely glass nails. This famous Korean trend flaunts sheer nude nails that give a natural look, with see-through glossy magic. Add an accent of handpainted Korean hearts and you have K-drama right there on your fingertips.
