Professional Beauty KOLKATA Enthralls the East

With a record footfall of 6700+ visitors, Professional Beauty India delivered yet another phenomenal event in Kolkata. Priyanka Parshurami brings you a few glimpses from the mega celebration of beauty in the City of Joy.

The latest edition of Professional Beauty Kolkata, held at Milan Mela, on 10th-11th April 2023 concluded with a triumph. In fact, the event, which returned to Kolkata after five years, recorded a whopping 6726 visitors. They hailed from many regions including West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa and Assam. The visitor profiles included beauty professionals across hair, skin, make-up, nails and wellness as well as distributors, salon owners, salon managers and students.

The show, which is seen as the gateway to the eastern region of the country, not only presented a great networking opportunity for beauty professionals but also showcased the fast changing beauty trends

Spreading across an area of more than 1,500 sq mtr in Milan Mela, the event witnessed over 200 exhibiting brands across the verticals of hair, skin, make-up, spa and nails along with salon tools and accessories. This further cemented Professional Beauty India’s position as the key marketplace for the beauty industry in the east and northeast of the country.

With the theme of ‘Celebrating Beauty and Hair Industry’, the key highlights of the expo are as follows

NEW PRODUCT LAUNCHES

The event certainly provided a platform for brands to launch their new product ranges for the beauty industry in eastern India. The event witnessed new product launches like Brumes Du Maroc, a hair and body mist fragrance – from the Moroccanoil Body Collection; Lip Glass – a long lasting lip gloss from Europe Girl; Shea Retention Therapy for Curls by Beauty Garage; Skinora - a skincare brand by Esskay Beauty Resources and many more.

LIVE DEMO STAGES

The showstopper live demo stage of Professional Beauty India, which is a hub of learning, came with a double dose in this edition. As a result, the show included two demo stages.

The first stage – ‘HJ Stage’ focused on hair sessions by Rachit Malhotra, Elton Steve Vesseokar, Priscilla Corner, Yesh Killa, Sidney Ho, Savio John Perira, Gourav Bhardwaj, Dodo and Zing, Amit Tonk and many more.

The Beauty Stage focused on sessions on skin, make-up and nails. It had a glamorous session on nails by industry veteran Gurpreet Seble. She provided the stage to the transgender community to showcase their talent. Mou Mukherjee, Sandeep Shrestha, Dolly Bhatia, Aturen and many more others also conducted their insightful sessions.
