LOOK & LEARN AHMEDABAD 2023

On 24th of July, beauty enthusiasts gathered for the ‘Look & Learn’ event in Ahmedabad, organised by Ikonic Professional, under the adept guidance of Seema V Jerajani, the visionary founder of SVJ Company, and Vipul Chudasama, the creative mastermind behind Ikonic Professional. The event proved to be a transformative experience for attendees, offering a dynamic platform for sharing cutting-edge techniques, trends and insights. The esteemed industry experts imparted invaluable knowledge, delving into different kinds of hairstyling.

The participants were inspired by live demonstrations that showcased innovative methodologies and ingenious product applications. The event also fostered networking among professionals.

CASMARA, ESSKAY BEAUTY RESOURCES CELEBRATE 15-YEAR PARTNERSHIP

Casmara celebrated its 15-year partnership with its Indian partner Esskay Beauty Resources by unveiling innovative skincare products. The celebratory event was held at Hotel Holiday Inn, Aerocity, New Delhi on the 17th of July. It was attended by an exclusive guest list comprising prominent industry names and premium salon owners.

The event was a celebration of their thriving partnership. It also ushered in a new era of scientific beauty solutions for the Indian market. The main highlight of the new launch was Casmara’s Eye Perfection Treatment, a 6-step salon-use eye-perfecting kit. The product launch was followed by an on-stage product use demonstration by estheticians from the Casmara team.

Esskay Beauty Resources and Casmara were represented by Ankit Virmani, Director; and Subham Virmani, Director of Sales and Strategy; and Kenza Bourezgui, International Business Manager, respectively. The launch event culminated in an engaging panel discussion featuring industry experts and brand representatives from both teams.

TRAINING WORKSHOP BY DEPILEVE, POWERED BY EKTA COSMETICS

Ekta Cosmetics conducted a training event for their brand Depileve at Park Hotel Kolkata on the 10th of July. It was led by Fernanda Muniz, International Trainer, Depileve Spain, as she represented a brand that has pioneered the concept of waxceuticals. Around 175 therapists and salon owners received training on global waxing techniques as well as certification by Muniz. This training aimed to strengthen the in-salon business by imparting the required knowledge and skills to all attendees, leaving them enlightened and equipped to excel in their waxing services. Ekta Cosmetics has launched Soft and Bright Wax, a fourth generation skin care epilation system.

OPI’S BARBIECORE THEMED LAUNCH EVENT

OPI launched an exclusive range of Barbie- inspired nail lacquers, making Barbiecore nails accessible from the comfort of your own dreamhouse. The brand has partnered with Warner Bros. and Mattel to bring the world of Barbie to manicures with its new limited edition nail lacquer collection inspired by Greta Gerwig’s ‘BARBIE’ movie.

The OPI x BARBIE Collection features nine limited edition nail lacquer shades that bring the brands’ partnership from the big screen to the real world. Divyapreet Singh, Marketing Head -South Asia, Wella Company said, “We at OPI are thrilled to join forces with Warner Bros. and Mattel for this exclusive collaboration. OPI shares the core values of empowerment and inclusivity that Barbie represents. The use of colour for self-expression knows no boundaries, mirroring the wearer’s limitless potential.”

MIX IT UP BY VANITY WAGON

Vanity Wagon, a clean beauty marketplace, hosted another edition of their beauty event, ‘Mix It Up,’ at DLF Promenade from 21st to 23rd of July. The event, in collaboration with Kevin Murphy, proved to be a haven for beauty and fashion enthusiasts, showcasing an extensive range of skincare, beauty, fashion, jewellery and wellness brands with their latest products. The three-day event brought top beauty brands like Asa Beauty, The Bare Bar, Perfora, Love Earth and Power Gummies among others under one roof.

The attendees had the chance to win exciting hampers and coupons from various participating brands. Additional highlights included calligraphy and engraving with Tanvi Saraiya, tarot reading with Shalini Suri, clean beauty workshop by Sabrina Suhail, make-up masterclass with Sakshi Malik, and haircare and styling by Kevin Murphy. The event also featured speakers such as Ananya Bhandare, Dr Jushya Bhatia Sarin, Parineeta Sethi, Pooja Roy Yadav, and Harpreeth Suri.

DERMALOGICA INDIA ANNOUNCES WINNER OF PROSKIN MASTERS 2023

The fourth edition of Dermalogica PROSkin Masters 2023 hosted 13 on-ground finalists after three online editions. Aurelian Lis, Global CEO, Dermalogica, was present at the event to crown the winner(s). The jury members included Vaishali K Shah, Founder & Director of LTA School of Beauty, Prajakta Paranjape, CIDESCO International Examiner and Dr Madhuri Agarwal, Founder and Medical director of Yavana Aesthetic Clinic.

At the grand finale, Christina Rodrigues and Ashwini Kondare took home the joint-title of the ‘Best Skin Therapist of India 2023’. Alpana Lepcha from Envi Salon and Spa was the runner-up.

In front of a live audience, the 13 contestants delivered personalised 60-minute treatments. They were judged on their understanding of skin concerns, consultation, service delivery and retail recommendations.

The event focused on the brand’s three key pillars – education, personalisation and human touch – highlighting its core values. The competition tests therapists’ expertise, celebrating their transformative impact on customers’ lives.
