Givaudan partners with Amyris to promote sustainable consumption

Givaudan is a craft-inspired fragrance and beauty global industry leader. In the pursuit of strengthening leadership it has completed an acquisition of a major portfolio of ingredients from Amyris. The move comes in an effort to strengthen the brand’s leadership in biotechnology that supports cosmetic ingredients for a sustainable future.

Amyris is a leading biotechnology company accelerating the global transition to sustainable consumption. Givaudani announced the transaction agreement details earlier this year in February 2023. Amyris and Givaudan have a strong partnership based on common values. This partnership leverages Amyris’ tech platform for designing, scaling, as well as manufacturing bio fermented active ingredients for sustainable cosmetics.

French Groupe Berkem signs an agreement with Indchem International

A French-based company Groupe Berkem, specializing in bio-chemistry has signed an agreement with Indchem International. Indchem International is a major global supplier in the cosmetic industry in India.

Indian cosmetic sales are esteemed to be valued at an ambitious value of EUR 17.8 billion by 2025, a significant rise from EUR 5.49 billion in 2019. An increase in purchasing power, expansion of sales channels, and celebrity influence are the factors expected to contribute to this growth. The search for alternative outlets in China is also expected to strengthen the demand for high-end cosmetic products.
