The upcoming Professional Beauty India Mumbai show is the 29th edition, and the 12th year of its flagship event in the city. Known for its standing as an industry platform that brings together industry professionals, brands and educators for two days of unparalleled inspiration, knowledge-sharing and business growth, PBI Mumbai is set to take place on 30th September and 1st October 2024 at the NESCO Centre in Goregaon. This event will serve as a hub where cutting-edge trends and techniques strengthen the heart-to-heart collaboration between artists, salon owners, distributors and brands.

The PBI Mumbai show has long been a pivotal event in the South Asian beauty and hair landscape, providing a platform for professionals and brands to connect, innovate and elevate the industry. This year, however, marks an especially momentous occasion with several new and exciting features set to make their debut.

Spread across 19,100 sq mtr of business space at one of Mumbai’s most popular exhibition centres.

What can you find there?

Over 350+ brands across the verticals of hair, skin, makeup, spa and nails as well as salon tools, accessories and furniture not only from India but also International destinations like Korea and China.

This edition will also be introducing a few exciting new elements: the SNAP India Awards, the Modern Barber Competition and the Colour Pod and Kohot Job Fair. These new initiatives are specifically designed to spotlight emerging talent, celebrate innovation and foster growth, pushing the industry forward while maintaining its unique cultural roots.

SNAP! India

SNAP! India is an online competition allowing hairdressers and make-up artists of any skill level, anywhere in the world, to submit a picture of their best work. This competition is judged by on style, cut, colour and make-up image produced by the artist. The Jury comprises Indian and International artists like Seema Jerajani, JJ Savani, Natasha Negamwala, Mark Hayes, Desmond Murray, Manisha Chopra, Cherag Bamboat, Pakkhi Pahuja, Armand Beasley.

The finalists would be felicitated on the HJ stage of PBI on 1st October 2024.

Modern Barber Competition

‘Modern Barber’ property from the UK to launch India’s first-ever barbering competition at the Professional Beauty India Mumbai Show, taking place on 30th September - 1st October 2024 at NESCO.

This event offers a unique opportunity to align your brand with excellence and innovation in the beauty and grooming industry.

The jury for the same comprises a mix of international and Indian experts like JJ Savani, Creative Director, ONE Studio, UK; Jordan Tabakman, Gamma + Lead Educator / Owner, The Barber Club Australia and India; Seema Jerajani, Founder, SVJ Academy; and many more.

The competition will have two categories: fade cut and styling. The winners would be bestowed with a trophy, certificate and goodies worth R 50,000.

Colour Pod

Professional Beauty India’s ‘Colour Pod’ is a riotous explosion of colours. It is a dedicated arena imparting live colour education to hair artists and aspiring colourists.

The Colour Pod area will offer a chance to colour brands to demonstrate live different colouration techniques and colour products, allowing visitors to learn more about their brands and artists Atharva Takke, Shine Janarthan, Vikas Marwah, Hardik Malde, Zingranwon Shatsang and Amit Tonk.

Kohot Job Fair

Keeping up with the dynamism of India’s beauty industry, Kohot is a job app that takes care of the hiring needs of salons across India. The Kohot Job Fair brings salons a step closer to prospective employees. It offers a direct face-to-face interaction to 100+ job seekers across hairdressers, beauticians and other skilled professionals in the salon industry all in the same place, which would help the job seekers as well as salons and spas in hiring.

The show will witness salon brands like Jean Claude Biguine, Enrich, Truefitt and Hill, Nomad Barber and many more offering jobs to industry professionals.
